Picture is misleading...
That being said, the product is fine. Both sides are the same. It is a translucent white "reflector".

compact reflector
I use this as a portable fill for indoor casual
portraiture for tight head shots. It is also
a diffuser, but not so useful for this as I prefer
large diffusers for outdoo floral work.

Good product at a good price
Lightweight, easy to carry, performs its job. The one I received had a small black mark on it. Although annoying, the mark was inconsequential to the function of the product.
