Not Just a Glorified Straight-edge

I purchased this item to trim images I am surface-mounting to panels. With it's heft and rubber footing, it stays put as I pull a blade along my print, allowing me to make straight cuts over long lengths. Seemed kind of a silly purchase at first (I was determined to get crisp edges in-studio), but now that I've put it to use, it's become a necessary tool to mounting my photomontage and photography.
