Accomplishes the need

I installed this to fit my DSLR with battery grip as there was no dedicated plate for the Pentax K5. It works great. NOTE that I did have to drill an oversized hole to remove the mounting screw attached to the Stroboframe Pro-T that I use it with. This plate has its own 2 screw mount system that is more durable than the 1 screw mount, anyhow. It does create a very strong grip that makes shooting with a flash a breeze.

The top surface of the Universal Camera Anti-Twist Plate has a machined cross-sectional recess and both contact points are covered by dense textured rubber material. This ultra thin barrier, grips the bottom of your camera body and provides an extremely solid connection.

When your camera is securely mounted, this design concentrates the maximum frictional force to the outside edges of the mount to prevent twisting. Mates with the Stroboframe 300 -BASE (QR Receiver), or plate will mount to camera mounting platform of flash bracket.
