About Sound Devices PIX-CADDY

The Sound Devices PIX-CADDY 2 2.5" SSD Drive Caddy for PIX Video Recorders is an upgrade over the original PIX-CADDY in that it has the ability to use 6G drives with the optional PIX DOCK.

PIX-CADDY 2 connects onto the end of a 2.5" SSD drive to equip the drive with USB, FireWire and eSATAp connections, whereas natively an SSD only has a regular eSATA connection (without the "p").

Sound Devices PIX-CADDY Features

  • FireWire 800 and USB 3.0 connections for mounting 2.5" SSD to computers as UDF volumes when the Caddy is not attached to a PIX recorder
  • eSATAp connection for mounting SSD to a PIX recorder when the caddy is attached to a PIX recorder and for mounting the SSD to computers as UDF volumes when the caddy is not attached to a PIX recorder
  • Supports 6G drives with optional PIX DOCK
