The Shure PG81-XLR is a cost effective instrument microphone with a sensitivity and frequency response tailored for instrument capturing. The PG81 delivers a frequency response of 40 Hz to 18 kHz, providing linear, smooth signal reproduction of acoustic guitar, cymbals, piano, strings, woodwinds and ensemble capturing. The lightweight, slim-profile design make it ideal for overhead capturing on a drum kit.

The cardioid pick-up pattern is effective in minimizing noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the capsule, making it less susceptible to feedback when using near monitor speakers. An internal shock mount protects against structure born noise. The microphone features an On/Off switch and is powered via external phantom power source or AA battery. A 15 ft cable, mic-clip and storage pouch are included.
