Handy but not essential
I bought the carrying case with a Slik 504QF II tripod and the tripod fits perfectly. The case is convenient for carrying the tripod although the tripod's legs can be easily retracted to carry without the case.

Great Tripod case
Great tripod case, very spacious, could probably fit 1 or 2 more tripods in there if needed. Lightweight, padded just enough, has a decent sized side pocket for accessories and other things. Multiple handles makes it very easy to carry, pick up, place in whatever position. the double zipper is connected with a fabric handle so unzipping it is 2 times faster and way easier to take the tripod out quickly.
The only thing that could be a little more comfortable is the shoulder strap, at least for me.
But all in all I'm very happy with this purchase.

Couldn't do without.....
This case keeps my tripod safe from scratches and the elements when not in use...
