I tried several similar gadgets, and found out that Sony Webbii has the best HD quality. At the same time, lack of image stabilization left me speechless. Almost all picture cameras have image stabilization today. And this is done for fraction of the second exposure. Camcorders with out image stabilization are more like a joke. No one expect consumers to use tripod all the time with point and shoot camcorders like Sony Webbii. I returned my Sony Webbii back to the store, despite good HD quality overall.

This is so simple to operate that my 5 year old granddaughter uses ti with ease and all the results are great.

i got the webbie so i can pretty much have a camera in my pocket at all times...yes it is what it is...yet i've been amazed at how nice the footage is...i don't expect much quality indoors and would rarely use it indoors...i have a few expensive prosumer hd cameras that are not great indoors either...hd needs more light of course...but all the outdoor footage has been a bit of a jaw dropper...and the files just drag right into vegas or final cut no prob...sure not for everyone but for the price i would think the quality is better than the flip hd and others like it...plus the webbie has a few more controls...webbie takes stills...3 shooting modes...1080-720-and standard def...swivel lens...and all at this price point
