Excellent NLE

Vegas offers an enormous range of capability yet it is very intuitive and easy to get started with. Real-time preview of changes as you edit. Simple drag and drop on the time line and logical layering of elements as they appear top down in order. Host of powerful audio editing capabilities as well as color and image manipulation. Tons of transitions and video effects bundled with the app and many more from 3rd parties. Vegas has been rock solid for me and renders quickly.
