Compatibility Chart incorrect
Compatibility chart on Sony's website says VCL-HG1737C telephoto lens is compatible with HDR-CX430V camcorder, bought the lens and it is not.
Camera mount is 45.5mm and lens mount is 36mm. Total waste of time.
Stars reflect dissatisfaction with experience, not quality of product.

Very Nice!
I bought this because my new Sony doesn't have the zoom range that my Panasonic did. It adds a lot of weight to my camcorder and makes it very long and front heavy. The image is very clear, however image stabilization gets a tiny bit jumpy, but not bad. I like the fact that you can zoom in and out and it stays in focus, however when zooming more than half way in, it causes vignetting around the image. You would think that Sony could put a setting on the camera zoom to keep you from being able to zoom so far in that you have to worry about vignetting. While they are at it, how about a zoom setting where you can get an extra 10x digital zoom without having to worry about going too far, like the Panasonic has...
