I brought this in January and it has the worst battery life... First time I got 7 weeks and it has to be charged every couple of weeks now wouldn't even give 1 star, am very disappointed... It sucks!

Not impressed

Purchased earlier this year (2025) and have found the battery life to be very poor, lasting only 14-16 days at a time. Sorry, but I could not recommend this product.

Poor Battery Life

I bought this 2 years ago! It's our first doorbell camera ever and we LOVE it!! I love that we can save videos, we  an respond with preloaded messages or use the microphone! It is reliable and recharges quickly. It is great security and we won the jackpot choosing this as our first doorbell camera! It was super easy to put up too!

Works like a dream!

It does frustrate me a little that it says 'device waking' a lot and takes about 30secs to 1min to tell me on my phone of someone is at the door. 
Would also be good to have a light that would help when you arrive home  so you can open the door easier. Otherwise great product.

Good product

I bought this doorbell to replace the wired Ring doorbell that I've had for several years.
Pros:
? I like that it has its own Micro SD slot to keep local recordings
? I like that I don't have to pay Ring $$ every month for access to my own security videos
? I am using it wired to my old doorbell wiring (required voltage 12 to 24 volts AC; you must use your own voltmeter to measure this), so I am not troubled with the battery issues that other reviewers complain of
? It installed easily onto the base of my old Ring doorbell.
? Videos can be downloaded and shared quickly and easily, unlike Ring which thinks they own them.
CONS
? It is a bit laggy compared to the Ring
? It does not offer the ability to define the field of view (ignoring the sidewalk and cars passing on the street) like the Ring has.
? It is big, bigger than the Ring, which is perhaps due to it having a battery inside it.
? You must pay $19 extra for the plate angling the doorbell up or down; this is included for free with the Ring

Generally satisfied

Great!

Very poor quality, failed after 14 months. Worked ok for about 10 months then battery kept going flat and wouldn't pair with wifi.

Won't pair to wifi

Terrible battery life, spends more time on charge than on the wall. Sick of charging it. Wish I'd just stuck with a normal doorbell and added an extra camera to sour main system instead

Poor battery life

Every update, comes with an error and a phone call to Swann. Memory storage failed, replaced, and formatted---audio for commands/voice not matching max volume settings, can barely hear it.

Buddy door bell  works well  the support for swann SWNVR-47085H swann view / allwayssafe is poor to the point I will be looking at replacing my swann security cameras with a more better software supported camera

I wish I bought one sooner. It was fiddly to install at first but then once set up it was great and easy to use. Night vision is high quality too. Still working out all the features

This is one of the best doorbell cameras without problems. We had Ring for awhile but this device is so much better .

It works well but a long delay in getting notifications.

I have to reboot the door camera often since the installation. I had ring before in another home which worked much better.

Does not connect with existing chime when hard wire and needs to be rebooted often

Battery last about 48 hours ..no much use real shame as I have other Swann cameras that work a treat.

Not sure what the problem is .have reset .remove.added again . changed settings  etc still only getting 48 hour life at best

To view this camera on the app, it's so slow that between the time I get a notification and can actually see anything on the app it's gone, so quite useless really. I've updated the software and have to constantly reset it as the app keeps on disconnecting from the app, as do my other Swann cameras on the app.

I have had this a few months and happy with it to a point . I need another chime but can't get it always sold out and doesn't last too long before I need to charge again .

Great images

I would never buy any other brand. I've always bought sure because they are sure to perform. I've been using shore cameras for over 10 years now and never had a problem. The best camera I bought was recently a doorbell camera. The quality is just amazing. I can talk through it. I can set an alarm off. It's just great and it's wireless with a long life battery so you don't need to have it. Hardwired into the wall, you should get one.

Best cameras ever

Have been using this door bell camera for 12 months, however the last few weeks I've had to charge it constantly sometimes twice a week. The battery seems to be very poor after a while.
