Great buy

I love, just wish I didn't have to adjust with every image using my zoom lense.

For the money a great product

I am not going to suggest that this is as nice of a graduated filter as those expensive Hoya or B+W or others worth more than my car. I have never owned one of those. I also likely have to improve the rest of my camera system to see that quality. I am going to say that when compared to the made in china $1-$10 lenses on [@] the Sunpak 58mm Graduated Neutral Density Filter is a rock star. No play in the lens to frame construction. good machining. I do all my photography outside. Landscape shots or action shot of outdoor sports. It comes in handy when working in very sunny conditions or overcast conditions where one needs to make the subject brighter relative tot he sky. I am finding it useful in non-conventional settings also: snow fields, glaciers, bodies of water, or darkening a bright subject. I do regret not going with a higher end GND. For the money this is an ok buy, it will do what it is supposed to.

About Sunpak 58 ND Filter

Graduated Neutral Density filters compensate for bright light over half the photo.
Unlike half-color filters, graduated filters have no harsh center line and can be undetectable.
By under-exposing a portion of a scene with neutral density (like the sky), the filter gives a better relief to the surfaces and colors of landscapes and architecure.
They are indispensable in summer, for seaside and mountain photos.
