This slave with a 6.3mm monophone sync jack, and a female PC sync socket has been optimized to also work with digital cameras, as ordinary slave units do not work with most digital cameras that use a very rapid series of pre-flashes, that trigger the slave prematurely. Working as an ordinary slave sensor, which will syncronize immediately with a master flash, the Speedotron DS-1 Digital Flash Trigger is also designed to work with digital cameras that use a pre-flash mode. This slave sensor switches from Normal Flash to Pre-Flash syncronization mode.
