I use the Tekkeon MP3450i as an external powerpack for my Panasonic GH2. Pairing this battery pack with the Panasonic DMW-DCC8 DC Power Coupler allows you to run the GH2 for an extended period of time without changing batteries. I tested the GH2 to 10 hours of continuous recording on this battery pack - and that's WITH the LCD screen of the camera on for the complete duration of the test. This is ideal for recording long documentary interviews, and for extended time-lapse photography. I also use this battery pack to charge my USB devices in the field. It will charge my Samsung Galaxy S2 as quickly as the AC power adapter will, it will charge my Nook tablet faster than AC power will, and it will do this WHILE powering my camera. Bottom line: for the price of two or three Panasonic batteries for my GH2, I get the equivalent camera run time of six batteries, PLUS the ability to recharge USB devices in the field. I'm considering getting another two of these units for an extended trip to Africa that will require me to film interviews and B-roll without AC power for up to 4-5 days at a time.
