I have always liked Tripp-Lite products. Not my first buy from them. I bought this one for the RJ45 protection. You need to be aware that running the RJ45 through it can slow down your internet. Mine went from around 500 Mbps to around 100 Mbps. I like the 3 transformer outlets available.

I replaced the old B*****, it gave me 18 years of service. This Tripp-Lite will handle the newer internet speeds up to 2.2Gig. I can protect my coax feed to my modem, wireless router, as well as the power supplies and my POE camera feeds. It was fairly easy to mount on the wall, just opposite all of my equipment.

Using this for my computer setup (gaming PC, monitor, modem+router, TV). Outlets are nicely spaced for all the different plugs. Build quality is solid and looks quite discrete tucked into the bottom of my desk (I love tidy cable management). Would love it if there was a shorter cord (5-6ft) version of this exact one but the extra long cord may come in handy some day. The surge protection rating is just the extra peace of mind for all of my equipment.

This surge protector was purchased to protector our computers, monitors, attached audio and modem equipment. We're in Northern California, where public safety power shutoffs have been historically random and haphazard, as well as hazardous to electronic equipment. I have used my inverter generator infrequently as well, and thus far this surge protector has functioned without a hiccup.

This is a new device to replace an older surge protector that had turned into a power strip without my knowledge. Just learned that these devices have a lifespan and had a power surge take out my receiver and cable box. I bought this particular one since it defaults to not working rather than just loosing protection and having to rely on an led (behind my entertainment center) to tell me I'm protected. I'd rather have the inconvenience of my devices not working all of a sudden because I need a new surge protector than have to drop $500 on a new receiver that had been working without being protected.

Added this to my battery backed cable modem & wifi router to protect the network and cable lines that were otherwise unprotected. Small price to pay for peace of mind during the severe thunderstorms such as we had that did damage one piece of equipment. Hopefully no more future damage.

We had a tree come down about five miles from the house. Every one in our area lost appliances, clocks, coffee pots and mini splits. Everything we had plugged into your surge protectors were fine. We had five surge protectors pop, yet not one item plugged into one of your surge protectors was harmed. Thank you for your GREAT product.

I use the tripp-lite to protect my computer and connected audio gear. I like the staggered outlets to accommodate "wall warts". They also have a great guarantee if a surge takes out their ability to protect. Thanks tripp-lite!!

I bought 2 Protect It! surge protectors with 8 outlets for our TV's. High joule protection was a big factor in my decision. Lifetime warranty is great and the ability to check the protection status at a glance. OK solution for our second home office, though the cord is longer than needed. We had to go with a somewhat longer cord, due to the angle of the cord where it exits the right-angle plug; but we did not need 10 feet. Joules and clamping voltage (330/400/400V) are excellent. We don't need all the outlets, nor the Coaxial/Ethernet/2-line modem/fax surge protection, but we had to get this unit for cord length and level of protection. It hasn't yet been tested by a surge, but so far, so good.

This product is the best I came across searching for Lightning Protection on top of surge protection, at least from what could find from Tripp-Lite...most of my house is protected by Tripp-Lite and I don't plan on that changing anytime soon. When I called with some questions about what they would protect, lets just say for simplicity sake they were so confident nothing would get zapped through this even if I was hit by lightning...they almost shrugged it off as whatever you wanna plug in within the limits of safely so the device could still do its job. That is reassuring...considering they weren't blowing me off, they just didn't seem very concerned it could possibly happen. If there was anything I would change, I wish it could do 10/100/1000 for ethernet (and came with two cords lol) instead of just 10/100 but i'm not knocking off a star for something I was well aware of and the one cord was a bonus as it is. It has enough voltage for my entire PC setup I run through an SU1500XLCD, without all the mass amount of bells and whistles, but none the less...you won't be lacking for juice on a 15 amp breaker to say the least. Port covers are extremely nice and seem solid, it can be wall mounted like most of their surge protectors. Even came with a phone line, which I suppose would be nice if you own a fax. Not much else to say in all honesty...great product, great company. I can't think of any reason NOT to buy this, unless you need a faster ethernet port protected desperately.
