I've tried allot of different USB to Serial adaptors, this one by far is the most reliable I have. Have not needed to buy another one. Highly recommended for fire panel interface.

We use 6 of these in a training course with different students every time. A driver is required for their laptops they make it easy to find on the support site for download. Simple and reliable.

Purchased this adapter to make an old Seiko 220 label printer work on my Win 10 laptop. As soon as I figured that Tripplite had drivers to go with this product, my old label machine worked like a dream. So glad there are products on the market like this serial adapter that provide continued use of old electronics that are still in their prime.

We were doing programming for different brands of Fire Alarm Control Panels, we were facing difficulties connecting to these panels, the manufacturer has recommended using this model of serial adapter, it was like magic! Thank you

Worked fine under Windows 10. Under Windows 11 and with recommended install procedure Keyspan shows as broken device, Windows can't load driver because of security problem

I use this product to connect to a broadcast device and transfer small amounts of data. It used to work fine until I upgraded to MacOS Sequoia. It's very very slow now and when I contacted support I never heard back. I wish support for this product was better since even to install the drivers you have to do a workaround that's not documented on this website. I hope they fix the bug soon though or at least contact me back.

It will switch all of our radio station audio feeds. Has done this for many years. Building new ON/AIR System, and this will be the control in that system.

As an automation company specialising in upgrading obsolete PLC's from Toshiba, Siemens, Rockwell and Drives from Parker, Siemens and other ancient kit this is the only adaptor that has been proven to work across so many hardware platforms. We use these to connect via VM's, directly from the OS and they've never let us down. We've tried other units from maufacturers like St@rt3ch to name just one and they either don't communicate correctly or fail prematurely in a harsh industrial environment.

I've used this Serial adapter with just about every piece of equipment you can think of and never ran into an issue. Super easy to set up and use, very sturdy, and it looks cool. What else do you need from a serial adapter?

I use it to convert a USB 2 port to a Serial port on my MacBook Air to program HO scale locomotives decoders using JMRI software. Quit working for some reason. I have tried everything I know to make the signal active between the device and the Lenz DCC control system. The computer sees the hardware, the drivers show in Terminal and go away and return when plugging and unplugging the Tripp Lite device. The Tripp Lit worked on this computer for several months and the computer upgraded to Catalina OS 10.15.7 then nothing works any more. if you have any answers I am open to try them.

Very displeased with this purchase. I did call support and the gentleman did his best to get the item working properly to no avail. I don't know if I will be able to utilize the item as I can't get it to work.

USB adaptor that gets the job done. My only complaint is that the drive CD did not come with Windows 11 driver. As operating systems advance, updating drives just tends to get more confusing and more confusing.
