Purchased for top-down macro photography and more

Nicely made unit offered more possibilities for varied future set ups than a simpler unit with one vertical and only one horizontal. Using this for photography now but I can envision other uses for it when using my MIDI controllers or even when doing craftwork. Standard 1/4" threads make it easy to create and add custom puchaser0created fixtures for positioning of magnifiers and third-hand kind of devices for those of us who don't have helpers or need more than a small desltop stand with alligator clips. No instructions in box but I didn't find that I needed any. Attachment of camera and lens caused horizontal bar to sag from true 180 but not critical for my current needs. A sliding horizontal bar accessory with a counterweight bag on one end to offset the weight of a camera plus lens would be useful. I'm big on finding additional ways to increase the utility of products by finding other uses for them. This is one of those kinds of products. Highly recommended.
