The Vangard 2 tripod is a solid, well-built tripod. I am a 6-footer, and this tripod easiy positions my camera exactly where I want it from full extension to any height below. The Veo 2 ball head is easy to use and doesn't slip, even at odd angles. The center column can be reset to low angle without taking anything apart. While no tripod hits all of the points, this one is a good choice for maximum versatility.

Very solid tripod. It is lightweight compared to other aluminum tripods. Even compared to the peak design aluminum tripod. It's not as compact, but can easily carry on any backpack's side pocket.

Pretty solid tripod for the price or free with a bundle camera

A tripod that really feels sturdy for travel, I like how compact it is and how easy it is to set up. It is surprising for its weight capacity and its super functional ball joint. I think that a disadvantage that I see is that it is a little low and I do not recommend extending it to the maximum since it becomes a bit unstable, but hey, nobody in their right mind uses this type of tripod to the maximum extended.

Insert to hold leg was broken. Twist clamp adjuster for leg came unglued.
Tripod unusable. Poor quality control. Seems like nice product if it worked.
