It's a very versatile product and has all the functions needed in the scrolling menu. It's easy to learn where everything is quickly since the OLED monitor labels the nob and top buttons as you go through the menu. As for the F1-F9 buttons, they aren't labeled but that's because it's used differently for other systems. Tangent gives you a free PDF on the button functions though through their website, so ended up labeling them myself.  I haven't experienced any response lag when using Davinci, which is of course also great.  

The only thing is the material used for the build, it's not the greatest plastic but at the same time it's the price you pay. Plus my gain wheel is already sticking a little, might try some WD-40 on it or better option just contact Adorama first since I have insurance on it, we'll see how that goes and if I'm able to edit this review I will do so with my results.

Great, easy to learn product. Only con is the is the lower cost = lower quality plastic but by no means a deal breaker

Essentially the original Wave that has been re-housed, the smaller footprint alone made this a worthwhile upgrade for me. 4 large jog dials and 9 dials up top have been upgraded so there is a slight bit of fluid drag/resistance which helps with making fine adjustments. Overall the device has a less plastic/hollow feel over the original. The trackballs are easily removed (just pick them up), makes cleaning them much easier. A pair of fold-out feet underneath will raise the surface to an angle, like many keyboards have. I use them most of the time and feel this is a more comfortable angle for me. 

This is the best all-in-one surface that can be used universally across pretty much all platforms/programs. I primarily use it in Resolve and Premiere but find myself customizing the controls for more and more programs (Photoshop, VLC, even web browser) the Tangent Hub software is great. If I were ONLY working in Resolve I’d go with one of the BM panels, but this is not a bad alternative.

Worthy purchase if you’re doing your own color.

I bought this to mainly use with DaVinci Resolve Studio. Works really well. The white LCD screens are highly readable, at least in lower light of a grading studio. It's easy to setup. In Resolve, just choose Tangent Wave control surface, and it detects it just like the older panel. Powered through one USB port and portability makes it great for on-set use too. One thing you will notice when you receive it, is that it is very light plastic, but still built sturdy. It is lighter then my keyboard. The controls take some time to learn, since there are about nine sub-menus to scroll through. Once you memorize where everything is, it gets much faster to navigate. I compared this to the BlackMagic Micro panel. That panel is much more sturdy and made of metal. The advantage of the Wave2 is that it has power window and other controls the Micro lacks. Though the Micro has controls this one lacks. The Wave2 lacks an offset ball, but does have RGB adjustments using the knobs for offset. You can also go from adjusting LGG to LOG but you need to use the mouse in Resolve to select the LOG controls first. So far for Resolve, I am enjoying using the panel very much and it has helped speed up grading.

Universal panel speeds up grading

This is really an incredible product, at least for me right now it fits the bill! Practicing color grading in Davinci for the past 3 years, this tool has elevated my color grading experience drastically! The ability to dial in you colors via trackball sensitivity is not to be overlooked! The menus are so useful and masking/keying are a breeze with the dials. With my hands on the lift, gamma, gain dials, it feels like I have reached into the computer, grabbed the data in my scopes, and started kneading it like dough! I immediately saw an improvement in my speed, and can already see my eye for color improve due to this tool. I can make my changes quicker, and keep my eyes on the image CRUCIAL! I am watching what is happening and dialing in through the image on my eyes! I know my skillset will improve at an accelerated rate as I utilize this tool to understand the relationship of RGB! For a quick example, I color graded 2 videos running 8min total with over 100 shots in a single 5 hr session. MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT! Affordable (when compared to the features you get). and compatible with both Davinci and Premiere. Really couldn't be happier!
