I've bought it two weeks ago and only used it few times, but from what I can see it's amazing lens, very sharp, great bokeh and really good color rendering. So far love it, therr is slight CA wide open but only tiny bit and can be easy corrected in post.

Really versatile lens

this lens is great low light lens. very light and easy snapshot lens. works well for night street photos.

I have taken and captured my best work on this lens.
Paired with a sony body, the competition doesn't come close.

Works great. I dont care about sharpness but this lens is very sharp. It's pretty compact and lightweight so I can use it as my kit len

Nice compact fast lens

It's a substantial purchase for anyone but I was very pleased with what I've got for my money. 35mm is a very versatile focal length so I've been able to take photos of everything so far. And the sharpness of the lens I'm sure has allowed me to crop in a little more too. It's also not huge and not too heavy. If you're trying to go with a one-lens set-up as I am, and you want the best quality, look no further.

Great 35 mm lense

The 35mm gm is one of my favorite lens. The performance is amazing and on point for what I like to do.

Outstanding lens!

I am exceedingly picky about 35mm fast primes. I have generally had to sacrifice weight in order to have great optical performance, and I have seldom been impressed with autofocus speed.

The 35GM changed all of that! The GM is a stellar lens from its nice minimum focus distance out to infinity, and everything in between. It is rare to find a lens this incredibly sharp that also has such a lovely bokeh. To top it off, the autofocus is essentially faster than you can think about what you would like to focus on, and all of those features land in a modest weight body, and you get one incredible lens.

An added bonus for this lens is that its rendering matches that of the 50/1.2GM and the 135GM. I can use all of them in the same shoot and have the same look to the images.

Truly excellent all purpose lens

I bought this superb 35mm f1,4 GM sony lens on the 19th of January 2024 and found it to be very sharp corner to corner. Extremely proud to own it, Finally can shoot pro images.

Doesn't have 3d pop and is a little expensive. Otherwise it's brilliant.

Best in its class for sharpness

Good lens, I however did expect a little more out of a G Master lens. It does struggle quite a bit to autofocus

A wonderful all round performer. My main wedding shooter.

Superb optic

Long story short, this lens is permanently attached to my camera. For my needs, no matter what I'm doing or where I'm going, I know the 35mm will do the job beautifully.

Enough width for landscapes, perfect for street and travel, and low enough distortion for beautiful environmental portraits and product photography. The lens is close focusing and absolutely razor sharp.

If you want to call it a negative, the barrel is plastic but it's high quality and very resistant to wear and impacts, more so than painted metal.

Sony have hit an absolute home run. This is an all-time great 35mm lens by anyone's standards.

An exceptional 'do everything' lens.

This is the first Sony prime lens I've owned, It's light, compact, performs superbly and the image results are fantastic, I've only used it in a studio at the moment, It will be my go to lens for street and location and travel photography.

As a Sony GM lens you can expect it's going to be good.and it certainly is. Sharp and great in low light.

It's a fantastic lens. I love the gm lenses and this is a great lens in so many situations.

Fantastic lens

I bought this lens then exchanged it for a replcement. Both times, immediately on opening there was lint on the inside of the lens @ the rear. My 3rd lens should be arriving next week. Hopefully 3rd time is perfect. The lens is supposedly weather sealed. There shouldnt be dust/lint inside the lens.

Unbelievably sharp. The fit and finish are beyond reproach.

The lens is amazing. The tripod is a good value and is sturdy, which makes the bundle a good deal. The filters are garbage and do but belong on a GM lens. I don't trust the cleaning kit for use on this lens but I will use it to clean cell phones and tablets.

My go-to lens. I love this. The distance is not too close or too far. Perfect for events and everyday use.

I bought this Len coz I would like to learn Portrait Photographing, but to begin with I start with a 35mm Len to get acquaintance with my also newly bought A7RIV. After some time, maybe around half year I am going to buy another GM Len most probably the 85mm f/1.4

Pictures are sharp

35mm F1.4 fantastic

I've been extremely impressed with this lens, sharp, fast focussing and beautiful rendering with great subject 'pop' and lovely bokeh. CA's are extremely well controlled. The only negative I can find is that there's very slight optical vignetting at the wide apertures, but it's well controlled and better than a lot of lenses.

Love this lens

I definitely recommend this lens. The photos are clear, and the 35mm allows me to shoot wider in smaller spaces. My photos are for boudoir, and this lens allows me to get a full body photo in small spaces.  
Automatically, I ordered an ND Filter so that I can keep my aperture wide open, and still get great shots with or without flash.
