This lens is quite a compact little unit, but heavier than most small lenses because of the good glass. Great for travel with a decent zoom range. I used this on a Canon 40D and it performed nicely. Most impressive to me was the auto focus. Very, very fast! This lens also had nice colors and contrast. Not the sharpest lens in my bag but still a very capable lens.

Ultra-wide zoom lens with portrait-length telephoto capability. By having multiple lens groups move during zooming, the lens was made compact and lightweight. The ashperical element suppresses distortion. High contrast is maintained at all focal lengths and sharp images are obtained.
