The case appears to be well constructed. Time will tell for sure. The case can accommodate a camera with lens attached with a width up to 6in., a height up to 5.75in., and a depth of 7.75in. The depth can be 9in. by removing a divider and still allow storage of 2 extra 3in. diameter by about 5.75in. lenses. An extra 1.25 in. in height would have allowed for longer spare lenses and also would have allowed for camera and battery grip combinations that are higher than 5.75in., but as it is, it is just high enough to allow me to leave the battery grip on my camera so it works for me. With the camera and two spare lenses there would still be a 3in W, 6in D, and 5.75in H section to store other items). One problem with the depth is that the part of the depth that accommodates the base of the camera is only about 2in. and cannot be easily adjusted greater than that. I had to disconnect one end of the Velcro on the divider on the right side of the camera and bend the divider around to increase the base depth on that side of the camera to allow the battery grip to fit in on that side. The opening for the lens on the camera is also 3in. There is additional storage under the lens that is on the camera for filters, etc. There are 2 zippered net pouches in the inside of the top cover to store small things like memory cards, etc. and an additional zippered pouch on the outside of the top cover that cane store extra battery packs and a charger, etc. On top of that pouch is a net pouch with no closure for quick temporary storage of things like lens caps at the shoot site. It also has a loop on each side to attach a small tripod or extra lens case, etc. to the case. The harness is very adjustable and is comfortable to me. This case could have been at least an extra 1.25in. higher (thicker) and has some minor interior divider adjustment flexibility problems, but unless you need to carry spare lenses that are over 5.75in long (the one on the camera can be about 6.5in. depending on the depth of the camera base) or your camera base or battery clip is deeper than about 3in. or they are higher together than about 5.75in., you can probably make it work and it is a good comfortable way to go if you need to hike a long way to your shoot. It is also a manageable size to put under the seat on a plane. I would not recommend it for local shoots or for storage of equipment between shoots because the handle on top is not very comfortable to use and the harness can make it cumbersome to carry or put up or take down from a storage shelf because it can get caught on things. A standard case is better for those uses. I use the Ape Case Pro Digital Medium SLR System Case for those things.

Over padding reduces how much the bag can hold so you end yup needing another backpack for other stuff

If your the type of person that is outdoors a lot then this bag could be the one for you. Or simply you can use it as an everyday storage bag which is perfect also.

This is a good lightweight case and I have used for several years. It would be much, much better if it had a real handle, rather than a simple nylon strap, for the 80% of the time you are not wearing as a backpack. Lowepro makes this mistake on several of their backpacks. The nylon strap is uncomfortable and insecure.

I had it with me for 10 days straight in Hawaii and I can't think of any other way I could have carried so much gear with any more comfort.
