How long are these sitting on shelves?
New battery, but was it sitting on a shelf for two years? Purchased two and was pleased that they arrived on time. However, when I charged them, I had difficulty. The charger would just start flashing an error (rapid flashing of the battery light and the charging light). There?s no indication as to what?s wrong, just the speedy flashing. I tried one at a time, both at the same time, one of these new ones with an old one, and nothing seemed to work. I moved the charger to a different outlet and tried again to no avail. I moved to a third outlet and tried one battery and it finally started charging normally. When it was finished I was able to charge the other. When it was done I went back to both outlets and charged my older ?b? versions and they charged just fine. I then put these new ones on and they too charged, just not for long since they were already charged. So I guess the moral of this story is to keep trying and they will eventually charge.

Camera accessories in general have been on back order but Adorama kept me periodically informed and now it is actually here. No need for a picture from me as it looks just like the existing picture. Once notified they had it, it was sent immediately.

Hope for DOA batteries.
If these arrive dead you have to spend a few days nursing them on the charger. Charge them until the error lights start flashing, then remove and restart. It might take 20 or more times over a few days but they will eventually charge to full. I don't know about the long term reliability yet.

Dead bricks x2 (Nikon EN-EL18c batteries)
2 (of 2 in this order) batteries are defective. Marked “2018.04 AT“. Will not power new Nikon D6 or older D850. Dead bricks x2. New battery (marked “2018.04 AT”) that shipped with new D6 works in both the D6 and D850 as expected. I have returned the defective batteries to Adorama and fully trust that they will replace with new batteries that work. Very disappointed with Nikon’s poor QC.

OEM is the Way to Go
We've used both OEM and third party batteries and the Nikon branded have tended to be more durable and withstand more cycles than third party. Is it enough to warrant the difference in price? We think so.
Adorama, as always, has done a nice job delivering as promised and on-time.

Extreme power
bought the EN-EL18c for use with my D800E and D850 to boost the frames per second and battery duration and it does both very well. you will need a few accessories the MB-D18, the BL5 cover and a charger. The charger is expensive so I bought it used and it works fine as well.

Better than the one my D4s came with originally
This battery lasts longer than the already high-capacity battery my Nikon d4s came with. As a wedding photographer, I honestly can't be worrying about battery charge while I need to be worrying about my clients. Although I'm not gonna try it, this one could easily last two or three weddings.
