I love them. The range is great, the sound is super clear, and the pack itself is super sleek. I wouldn't use the lavaliers that came with them AT ALL, but the body pack is what I bought these for.

While the rise of high-resolution content in the video production industry has escalated the demand for superior audio quality, the UWP-D21 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System, operating in the 536 to 608MHz frequency range, stands as a robust solution. This system is designed to meet the needs of today's content creators who are tasked with capturing high-quality audio swiftly, reliably, and with limited resources.
The UWP-D21 is a comprehensive package that includes the UTX-B40 bodypack transmitter, URX-P40 receiver, ECM-V1BMP Omni-directional lavalier microphone, and essential accessories. This system is an ideal choice for a variety of applications, including electronic news gathering (ENG), electronic field production (EFP), documentaries, and wedding videography.
Equipped with advanced digital audio processing technology by Sony, the UWP-D21 ensures high-quality sound with improved transient response performance. The optional digital audio interface allows for direct digital sound recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras via the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface MI shoe adaptor. This bypasses A/D and D/A conversion stages, further enhancing the sound quality.
Seamless integration with compatible Sony camcorders is another key feature of the UWP-D21. When paired with the SMAD-P5 Multi Interface shoe adaptor, audio information such as RF level meter, audio mute status, and transmitter low battery alert can be displayed in the camera's viewfinder. The wireless receiver can also receive power from the camera, enabling synchronized power on/off between the camera and receiver for efficient power management.
The UWP-D21 also boasts Sony's unique NFC SYNC feature, which allows for quick, intuitive secure channel setting between the transmitter and receiver. The light, compact design of the receiver makes it an ideal partner for small camcorders and interchangeable lens digital cameras, ensuring superior mobility for news coverage, documentaries, weddings, and remote production.
