I simply bought the wrong thing for my gear. Mounting a EVF Pro with Z-Finder, a light, and a mic on the Beachtech was just more than it could take with the rubber shock mount, and I was concerned that the weight may be too much for the solid mount the unit also came with. If you are only mounting a light weight LED and a small microphone on the unit, you should be fine. Any more than that and the stability is lost for hand held shooting.
