Battery works perfectly however it does not come with a protective cover. This creates the possibility that it could short out in bag or pocket.

I've ordered these before for my Canon EOS 50D and found them to be very good for the money. I have had a couple of them fail after a lot of use, but considering the low cost, it is not a deterrent at all.

Needed replacement batteries for my Canon 20D. Couldn't pass up the price. Haven't had much opportunity to see how long they last, but at the price could always get more.

I'm using this battery in a Cannon EOS 50D. Battery fits perfect. Has charged with the Cannon battery charger that came with the camera. No problems, would recommend this product to anyone needing a replacement batteries for the Cannon series EOS cameras. Tim K.

I bought a used Canon EOS Rebel that came with a battery, obviously used. I bought this battery and am very pleased with how many photos, especially flash that I can take on a single charge.

I must admit my expectations were not so high, but so far these batteries are providing very good performance. I saw where some reviewers indicated the fit was imprecise, this is not the case with mine. Cannnot beat the price, and these are working fine for me so far.

I use this battery in my business camera and it works great. Much better proce than the original and just as effective.

As a pro photographer, I change batteries a lot, so it wasn't a surprise that my five or six year old Canon batteries weren't working well any more, so I decided to get a new set. When these were on sale for a really low price, I pulled the trigger on an order, and since this is a backup camera, haven't done more than charge them so far.

I bought two of these batteries for my Canon EOS 40D and 50D cameras. Initially they were alright. (I bought in late June 2012) - used to hold charge nicely. No heat problem. But in May this year I noticed that the camera is showing low battery with just 20 photos taken on "full battery" with each of the two copies of this battery. I checked with my original Canon battery (and two other third party batteries). They were working fine (>400 shots, even with Flash), so no problem with my cameras. Then I noticed when I am putting these two for charging the charging is finishing withing one minute (that is the charger's light become on instead of blinking within one minute). So I am pretty dissapointed with the performance of these two batteries.

The battery is pretty good and i got a deal from adorama-Buy one, get one. One of the batteries was defective and would not charge. i called their customer service and they promptly sent another one. Customer service was good.

I bought two of these to replace some older batteries which were not holding much of a charge. So far (only a week or so) they seem to be doing as well as any batteries I've had so far, and at a fraction of the cost.

I was in Lake Tahoe photographing the fall colors and several of my batteries began to fail. I called Adorama and the sales person was very helpful getting new batteries shipped overnight so I could continue shooting. Adorama, you really bailed me out!

I purchased 2 of these batteries, one works, the other doesn't. Buyer beware, the price looks good but these [*]manufactured batteries suffer typical quality problems.

Fantastic price and high quality battery. These are equivalent with Canon's batteries and the best buy I've seen. I've used these for several years, long lasting, holds charge well and I'll stick with these for all future needs.

I was very disappointed that these batteries did not hold a charge. I ordered two for my trip to Costa Rica and took less than 100 photos per battery. Luckily, I had other batteries with me that worked perfectly.

this is a great product. it holds charge very well and last me for 5 hours while shooting.all for 1/3 the price of orignal equipment I found this because of the earthquake in japan,canon could not supply me.

For the sake of helpfulness, I will divide this review into 3 important sections: 1) How I use it: - I bought 3 of these to have a total of 4 batteries for my Canon EOS 40D for a perfect rotation of power supply, since I own 1 original battery and the BG-E2 grip. 2) What's great about it: - I've heard from others that some of their copies of this product turned out to die quickly or have charging problems, but that was NOT the case from my experience. - These batteries have been working like OEM batteries in my experience. I often charge batteries 1-2 per MONTH. They work perfectly and they last long with power! 3) What's not so great: - The idea that there are inconsistencies in the manufacturing of this product, because I sincerely hope everyone else has the same experience I did.

Good, inexpensive replacement for Canon batteries. These seem to lose their charge more quickly than the Canon brand batteries, but you can't beat the price. Just make sure to recharge frequently and keep a spare backup.

This battery has provided 200 shots and just surpassed its second week on the initial charge. The battery indicator on my 40D still shows all bars. I'm impressed, considering the price. Other observations: the fit in the camera and charger were perfect and it's a bit lighter than the Canon BP-511A.

I use it for travel baseball tournaments and have had no problems running out of juice with these batteries. Great product at an even greater price.
