About Kramer Electronics PS-1DVI

The Kramer Electronics PS-1DVI is a high-performance power supply for DVI cables. It provides 5V DC on pin 14 of the DVI plug for applications where power is not provided by the DVI source. The PS-1DVI is used to power DVI for Optical DVI Extension Cables. Optical DVI cables, such as the Kramer C-FODM/FODM-328, require a +5V internal power supplied through a DVI pin (#14) from the graphic card. When the computer system is incapable of supplying 500mA, the PS-1DVI provides the power to the cable's Tx/Rx modules.
