Kramer Electronics TP-124-OD Computer Graphics Video and Stereo Audio RS-232 Over Twisted Pair Receiver with EMP Protection

The Kramer Electronics XGA Video / Stereo / S/PDIF Audio / RS-232 over Twisted Pair Receiver receives computer graphic signals up to WUXGA & 1080p, unbalanced stereo audio and RS-232 data signals via a twisted pair cable. When used with the TP-123-od twisted pair transmitter, the receiver provides an extension of up to 300' (91.44m).

Featuring level (gain) and EQ (peaking) controls, the XGA Video / Stereo / S/PDIF Audio / RS-232 over Twisted Pair Receiver converts twisted pair signals back into a computer graphics video, unbalanced stereo audio, or RS-232 data signals without any loss in the signal over the entire transmission length. The receiver supports unidirectional RS-232 signals with a maximum bitrate of 19.2kbps which is sent over the video signal. It also provides simultaneous unbalanced stereo and S/PDIF (24-bit 48 kHz) audio output.

The XGA Video / Stereo / S/PDIF Audio / RS-232 over Twisted Pair Receiver requires a 12V DC power supply (included) for operation. Power Connect System allows both the transmitter and the receiver to be powered with a single connection when the units are within 150' (50m) of each other. Via EMP protection, it offers protection against voltage surges induced by electromagnetic field of a nearby lightning strike. However, it does not protect against direct lightning strikes. In addition, 3 units can be mounted side-by-side in 1U rack space with the optional RK-3T rack adaptor.
