There are some situations where a mono pod comes in handy. A Bipod or tripod is much more stable but cumbersome when a quick shot is required. I liked the durability of the Vanguard mono pod and the fact that it twist tightens fairly quickly, without a lot of revolutions. I wish it had a carbide tipped bottom at times but the rubber one is working fine thus far. Have only used it on one hunt so far. The pivot head is nice.

These Vanguard gunpods feature a heavy gauge, yet lightweight aluminum construction. They come equipped with rotating tubular leg locks, deluxe rubber feet, soft ergonomic foam hand grip, and a unique "U" shaped yoke with non-slip texture.
