Poor constuction.short,not easy to use
Too short and must bend over to see the viewfinder of any dslr. Screw type leg extensions hang up and sometimes will not release.

Great for on the go!
I love that the Velbon Stick is lightweight and small enough to fit in my purse. I carry it and my camera with me a all time - I never know when I see something that captures my attention. I do many small scale music videos and it is perfect for stabilizing my shots. I also have a medical condition where my hands shake and it helps in low light hand heals shots too. I had stopped doing photography for quite a few years, because it was all too cumbersome to lug around equipment. I can take photos again with ease and comfort!

Light & Compact
A bit sticky sometimes when trying to twist unlock to extend it. I can live with that though due to its compact size and low weight which were a priority at purchase time..

Compact and lightweight
I really love this little monopod. It is the perfect size for my Sony NEX-5N. I can carry it easily with my camera bag and pop it out to steady a shot. The construction is top notch. This monopod is easy to use as it clicks to the left (counter-clockwise) to extend the leg sections, one click per section. To lock the sections, click back to the right (clockwise) and lightly tighten.
