This Vortex Archer's Strap trades a standard neck loop for a longer, padded sling that lets you wear your optics at your side-not smacking your chest or neck. It's light, discreet in urban or rugged environments, and backed by the same lifetime VIP warranty as other Vortex accessories. Handy and comfortable for long days in the field

I received both the strap and the harness as a gift (with new binocs). The strap uses ladder buckles to attach to the binocs. The harness uses a ladder buckle and a quick release parachute buckle system. By adding a quick release parachute buckle to the strap, it would be so easy to switch the binocs between the strap and harness, depending on where I wanted to use the binocs. I will be making this modification myself this weekend.

Bought this as a quick substitute so I wouldn’t have to pack the harness on long shed hunting days. Sits comfortably in any position I place it. The padded strap isn’t terribly uncomfortable on the neck as others. It’s become more of a go to than my quick back up. With game in your sight it’s quiet and easily accessible without noise. Definitely convenient for archery!

The Vortex Archer's Strap is essentially a longer, straight version of the standard "Comfort Strap". It is padded and made of neoprene, but does not have a contour cut to accommodate one's neck as does the standard strap. Instead, it is a straight-cut strap and is significantly longer so that you can tote your binocular or other device over the shoulder aside your body, instead of upon your neck.
