We bought these for my wife back in 2016 and have used and abused them for hunting, camping, spotting for shooting, and just general recreation. They have held up great and they are small enough to fit her little hands and not make her neck tired, which is a huge plus. Having said that, I think I would go in a different direction if I had it to do all over again. My main pair of binos are a pair of 10x42's from another manufacturer, as well as a pair of 8x25s from the same manufacturer, and the 8x25s I have are much higher quality glass and have much better light transmission in low light, and they run in the same price point. I had no way of knowing this when I purchased them, because the store only let me step outside momentarily to test them out, and it was only realized after much time behind the glass. They're not bad if you get a killer deal, but I don't think I would buy them again.

I have had mine for a while now and the resolution and visibly is spectacular along with how easy they are to adjust and get focused. They are also extremely durable, they get thrown around in my truck or dropped in the mud and their performance is still spot on. Only thing I was 100% with was the covers for the bottom lenses, they like to fall off.

I purchased the Diamondback 8X28 binoculars three years ago for a crystal clear, light weight optic for archery hunting, turkey hunting, and scouting. They are my "go everywhere" opitcs.

I was looking for a compact binocular that didn't cost too much for sporting events and touring/sight-seeing. I'd bought a less expensive one but it was unacceptable to me because I have to use binoculars with my eyeglasses and the eye relief was too shallow. I decided to spend a little more and get the Vortex Diamondback even though I hadn't heard much about the company. I'm glad I did.The Diamondback 8x28 not only has 19mm of eye relief, it also has a very nice 6.9 degree field of view. Not to mention that it's waterproof, fog proof, fully multi-coated and has BAK4 prisms. Build quality is good and the focus is smooth and accurate. The image quality is really quite good for a compact binocular. Especially at this price. What a noticeable difference between the Diamonback and the $60 one that I'd gotten before! On a side note, the first one I got had one eyecup that retracted a little too far. I decided to return it to Vortex under their VIP warranty. They emailed me a FedEx label to ship the binocular to them free of charge. They decided not to repair it but immediately shipped me a brand new one. So, the quality of the product that I bought and the really excellent warranty and service has impressed me and has me sold on Vortex.
