The WD 3TB Hard Drive Kit for 6TB and 12TB Sentinel DX4000 Small Office Storage Servers from upgrades the storage capacity of your Sentinel DX4000 Small Office Storage Server. The kit comes with one RE4-GP EP500M Hard Drive. Its advanced power management technology delivers a faster and a greener solution for large-scale data centers. The hard drive features 64MB cache, dual processors and increased areal density that gives twice the processing power results. The IntelliPower technology provides a fine-tuned balance of spin speed, transfer rate and caching algorithms to deliver significant power savings and solid performance.
The IntelliSeek feature calculates optimum seek speeds, thereby reducing power consumption, noise and vibration. The IntelliPark technology automatically unloads recording heads when idle to reduce aerodynamic drag. It automatically invokes idle mode whenever possible to further reduce unnecessary power consumption. The StableTrac function firmly secures the motor shaft at both ends to minimize system-induced vibration and stabilizes the platters for accurate tracking. With Time-Limited Error Recovery (TLER) function, this hard drive prevents drive fallout caused by extended hard drive error-recovery processes. The Rotary Acceleration Feed Forward (RAFF) feature optimizes operation and performance in vibration-prone and multi-drive systems such as rack-mounted servers.
