For just slightly more than dodgy off-brand MP4 players shipped from Asia, this is a much more reliable product and includes internet streaming as well. Pros: I'm using it without an internet connection, so I can't evaluate how it works in regards to that. It does give a good quality picture and great sound on virtually all digital media formats, other than RealMedia which is dying out anyway. Cons: • The clock automatically sets but shows an incorrect time and time zone. I haven't figured out how to correct this, and rebooting does not remedy the problem. • Will not advance automatically to the next folder once all files within a folder are played. • Fast forwarding and rewinding are jerky and difficult to do precisely, though you can jump to an exact hh:mm:ss position using the arrow keys. • A Component Video output (as opposed to Composite) would have been a useful addition.

I bought this for my parents, so they could watch videos of the grand kids. It's tougher than I thought it would be to find one of these media boxes with USB input, but thisone works great and does exactly what they need it to do. Obviously it also has many streaming options, but they don't get into that much.

We have spent hours trying to get this thing to let us watch Netflix and finally decided the best place for this item is the trash. Can not even get it to bring up a menu so we could do what needed to be done. We finally had to reboot the system about 6 times and start over and all we get is sorry try again sorry try again. They offered to replace it and why should I have to pay postage to get it replaced. Were done, I'll watch them on my computer.
