Great lights but you need a third light to go along with these lights. The advertisement says light average life of bulbs are 65 hrs but when I got them, the box said 20 hrs of average life. When I called the Westcot company they said the bulbs would last between 20 to 65 hours.. We will see so you might want to order a couple of xtra bulbs just in case.

Good kit for anyone looking to get started with using continuos lighting. Just enough lights to allow you to really begin to experiment with different lighting styles and bright enough to make some really nice portraits. Color balance is good if you set the white balance correctly or use a color checker card to set you balance in post. I wish the light stands were a little bit ore sturdy, but they get the job done just fine for indoor use. If you plan to use outdoors, be sure and use weights to hold light stands down.

This is a great kit for any body starting out. It will produce nice consistent results and give you a good working knowledge of studio lighting. The two lights are bright enough to work indoors taking portraits. I would suggest spend a little bit more and adding a softbox and strobe to your equipment for even better results. Only problem I have had is that the lights run hot and take a while to cool down before you can pack them up if you are working mobile. The hot temps of the light can make it uncomfortable for your subjects if they are under them for too long as well.

I do like the way the lighting is for still photography, I have had very good results. And they are of greater value when taking portrairs out doors. I think everyone sholud try tese in their outdoor photography.
