Does everything I needed.
I bought this unit to finish out the man-cave I was building, including a data projector casting an image onto a 6x8 screen. I needed something to accept multiple inputs and send one HDMI out. This unit obviously does that with no problem. I was also hoping to get a nice "movie theater" type sound to really immerse myself in the movies. I have been tinkering with a Frankenstein system for many years, and although that system had several quality components, I could never get that "ahhhhhhh" moment. With this unit I have not even used the included microphone to calibrate the room and it already sounds better than anything I was able to create with my previous set up.
I should note however, that the speakers which are included are a little weak. The center speaker is small and light and the front and rear speakers are all the same unit; again, they are small and light. For the rear speakers they are fine, but I upgraded the front and center speakers with my old units (Energy speakers). It is hard to say what the system would sound like without that upgrade, since I did the upgrade immediately; but I can say that with the replaced front and center speakers the system is accurate even at very loud settings.
Overall, for the price I would highly recommend this unit.
