Yongnuo is a brand known for putting out great photo and video gear at a pricepoint that's hard to argue with, and this super-bright lighting unit is no exception.  The first SMD LED video light from Yongnuo, this unit is lighter and smaller than previous iterations of the model, with twice the luminance of the YN300III as well as additional functionality. It has a very wide angle of luminance, measured to be 110 degrees, with 48 individual 3200K LEDs and another 48 at 5500K. This combination provides an astounding color rendering index of over 95%, as well as a great range of adjustability.

Works perfectly as intended, gives light without a threshold meaning it can shine starting at 1% all the way up to 100%. Built-in diffuser is effective in certain environments and at lower outputs, but best results are achieved by utilizing an extra outside diffuser. Only difficulty is attaching color gels, best to use office tape or a clip attached to a flat and heavy card like a designer clothing tag. Overall, nice, portable, and easy to use. A strong value for its price point, not including shipping.

A good value and an effective light

The light is super strong and very nice. I like that you can customize the lighting into cooler/warmer tones. Since I bought two, I have a lot of free reign to control the kind of lighting I want. However, the piece it attaches to, is made out of plastic and it’s very flimsy – it doesn’t hold in place at all unless you balance it and do not touch it, so I had to dock a star for that.

How can I try the lights without the power supply cord? Please send the power supply cords.

Wow $ but how good can it be ? It's good as a minor fill light but it seems like it's got a lot of red in it

The light works well but the price is bait and switch.  When you get the light you find out you have to buy either a battery or a charger.  I will not trust this brand in the future and be very careful with vendors who are not up front about pricing.
