We use Panasonic HMC150s for wedding work and during the receptions I often find myself wishing it was *just a bit wider*. Well I saw the great discounted deal on this 0.8x adapter, read a few reviews and made the purchase. I looked at everything from fisheyes to .6 and .7 beforehand. This twist locks easily onto the front just like the factory lens hood. With the adapter attached the camera is a noticeable amount wider at full wide without bad distortion. It's totally usable inside residential houses. It also allows full zooming through so in essence, you can just leave it attached all the time and use it for everything. Oddly enough at full telephoto it doesn't seem to cause mush loss of magnification which surprised me. The downsides are it does add some weight to the front of the camera but it's not too bad. Another is the fact that there is a lot of glass up there and a lens hood is recommended. The hood I found made by 16x9 works well but is quite over-priced for what it is. However it does make the camera look more expensive. The last downside is if you plan on getting a protective lens filter it takes a HUGE expensive one so be prepared.
