About Baader Planetarium VIPB

Are you an astronomy enthusiast or a professional astronomer seeking a high-quality, versatile lens for your telescope The Baader Planetarium 1.25" 2X VIP Modular Barlow Lens is an innovative solution designed to enhance your astronomical observation and viewing experience. This durable and reliable lens system offers 2x photo-visual magnification, making it an essential addition to your optical instrument setup.

The VIP (Visual and Photographic) Barlow Lens is ingeniously engineered for both functionality and adaptability. It is composed of several modular components, allowing you to customize the lens for a variety of visual and imaging applications. This versatile lens is designed to accommodate 1.25" eyepieces and fit 1.25" focusers, but it also includes a 2" section for compatibility with 2" focusers.

The eyepiece holder of this innovative lens system features dual nickel-plated clamp screws for maximum convenience and security. It also incorporates a captive spring bronze lock ring to safeguard your eyepieces from potential damage. As with all Baader Planetarium products, the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail are unparalleled.

The internal surfaces of the 1.25" 2X VIP Barlow Lens are fully sharp V-threaded and blackened to eliminate stray light reflections, ensuring a clear and sharp image. The surfaces are finely machined and satin anodized for both functionality and aesthetic appeal, and all components fit together closely and precisely.

At the core of the VIP modular Barlow Lens is its precision air-spaced negative lens assembly. The large 24 mm clear diameter of the optics minimizes vignetting, and its apochromatic field-flattening design makes it ideal for high-power planetary observing and CCD cameras. Both lens elements are polished to a high standard and fully multi-coated with the finest 7-layer multi-coatings available today, resulting in reflections per surface of less than 0.2%. This results in a sharp, high-contrast image that remains virtually unaffected by its passage through the Barlow Lens.

In summary, the Baader Planetarium 1.25" 2X VIP Modular Barlow Lens is a high-quality, durable, and versatile lens that is designed to enhance your astronomical viewing and imaging experience.
