Compact and Easy to Use

Use for transfer of photo files from Sony Camera to laptop when traveling. Data rates with 8GB Sony MemoryStickProDuo Mark2: about 12mb/s from laptop, 16mb/s to desktop (Win7 64bit and Win7 32bit). Handy gadget, inexpensive. Comes with a short USB extension cable which can be used, or plug device in directly without the cable if there's nothing blocking adjacent to USB port.
