Apple Airport Express Base Station

I have 3 Airport Express Base Stations. Two of them extend my wifi network and one is used as a base station for my music system. The two that extend my wifi are hard wired and the music control is connected by wifi. They work great for my application.

Many residences and offices larger than a studio apartment will notice signal degradation caused primarily by walls, floors or metallic screening, even with a great router, like Apple's AirPort Extreme. The Airport Express is a great tool for extending networks around corners or to other floors. They can be used in multiples. I live in a house with a U-shaped floor plan and rock exterior walls. The only way to get signal throughout has been with 4 Expresses. I once used 6, but found that signal strength does degrade with too many extenders. Four work perfectly. Apple support will walk you through the setup, if necessary.

My base station is the 2TB airport time capsule connected to my modem and I use the airport express to expand the range of my home wireless network. Setup is a breeze. Look and feel of the airport express is solid. Clean and simple. Ever since I've upgraded to apple routers, all the connectivity issues I was having are gone. Connection speeds are night and da. I have no complaints whatsoever with the product and would recommend this to product to anyone looking to expand the range of their network. Looking forward to the next gen model.

I setup the Airport Express to bring my wifi up to today's standards for sharing in our home and also playing my home entertainment system from multiple apple devices. Worked great, right out of the box.
