I bought this for my high schooler son. Does most of the tasks that need to be done without problems and very light and portable laptop to carry around. But the Core M processor is not powerful enough for any kind of video editing or even playing 4K streaming video. My 5 year old MBP (with dedicated graphics card) easily outperforms this macbook. But I suppose that is expected. I love the "force touch" key pad and retina display.

While the new MacBook presents its share of compromises, it also owns its share of bests: display, design, trackpad, OS. As I use my computer either docked or totally untethered, the single USB-C port does not present a problem. Service from Adorama was also exemplary, as expected.

This laptop is perfect! Ultra lightweight, compact size, and very powerful for its stature. The retina display is much easier on the eyes and the colors and images really come to life. Perfect for students and an unbeatable price!

Amazingly thin, thought USB c port would not be hateful but it's aucutally amazing. If you still need old connectors, you can get a cheap adapter. The battery life is not great, but it's so thin, that I don't mind! Would definitely recommend.

I was a bit hesitant on getting a notebook with only 1 port, and with USB-C being so new, but it's actually worked out pretty well. It's thin, but surprisingly well built.

Somehow, it took me a very long time to decide whether or not to buy this MacBook. I read reviews and articles and kept coming back to a choice between this MacBook or a MacBook Pro. The weight factor helped decide the issue, along with the excellent package deal from Adorama. So far, I have tried to really push this laptop and have yet to come up against any kind of performance wall. (But then I am not a photographer and I don't make or edit videos.) Anyway, I don't have time to "gush" about it here, but this MacBook is easily one of the best purchases I have ever made! Thanks, Apple! Thanks, Adorama!

I have purchased 3 of these (2 for work and 1 for the wife). This machine is supper light - feels so much lighter than the Air. This machine does great running MS Office and other productivity programs. I have never had any issues working with all programs and have used both Photos and Aperture. I also have a 2012 MBPr 15" for my video editing.

I got this for my wife's birthday. She has been using a PC for years and I was afraid the Apple operating system would be hard to use. Wrong! Within a couple hours she had this machine up and running and loving it. What a beautiful, ultra thin and light computer with the best display out there. Get one...you won't be sorry.
