I read the reviews of this modem/router before I purchased it and decided to ignore the negative ones...Let me say that this modem works GREAT.....MOST of the time....I have had it for only about two weeks and it was a great improvement over my previous modem that was supplied by my ISP(Cable Internet is NOT an option for me)...It,like I said ,has held my speed for internet work and video streaming this whole time..until last night.....overnight,it lost its connection and had to run its setup program again....I HOPE this doesn`t happen on a regular basis...if it does,it will be replaced by another brand.

Significantly stronger signal than my previous ATT modem router. Easy to install. I assigned the new modem the previous network name and security code so I did not have to reset the connected devices. Installed and everything working in about 10 minutes.

The set up was so easy, I skipped a step. Ended up calling service and was connected to live person I could understand in less than 15 seconds. Had up and running soon after. This updated faster version replaced a monthly rental from TDS. Runs 2-3 cpu's plus laptops and "toys" with no interference.

Easy to set up, but wireless kept dropping out at in-house ranges.

The wireless drops out frequently, requiring a reboot of the modem. I am sending it back.

A fine modem/router once I called Verizon tech support to set it up. Wouldn't do it by itself so I had to contact Actiontec support for advice. Also, port forwarding is difficult to set up and not as sophisticated as my old Westell modem. That's my only gripe.

The step by step quick start instructions are clear and virtually idiot-proof. The modem immediately configured itself for my Verizon account and I was up and running in minutes. The wi-fi signal reaches everywhere in my rather large apartment and there have been no instances of dropped connections to the ISP.

I can now use all my wifi devices and PC's. Works great no problems at all with it. I wish it had a Phone out jack but I put in a splitter.

The Wireless N DSL Modem Router from Actiontec with a built-in 802.11n wireless router. It is compatible with ISPs that provide ADSL service and gives you an All-in-One solution to connect to the Internet and share the connection among the computers in your home. The router features four LAN ports for wired device connectivity. Its 802.11n Wi-Fi signal is backwards compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g devices. A built-in firewall protects your computer against attacks that can originate on the Internet and support for wireless encryption protects your network from attacks from computers within its wireless coverage range.
The router automatically configures itself - just connect it to your network and open a web browser. It supports TR-069 and remote management, making it a great option for Internet Service Providers - these technologies allow technicians to assist end-users with troubleshooting. The router can be configured by Windows and Mac systems alike.
Note: Works with most major DSL service providers - please check with your service provider to ensure compatibility
