Pros: Easy Installation, worked as expected. Delivered fast. Not a bad price. Good plan to recycle the old battery. Con: Minimal packaging for this heavy item caused the double sided tape holding the two batteries together to separate and one cable to unplug. Despite having to re-tape it, the battery works fine.

Battery box looked like it was thrown down a large flight of stairs when it arrived. Box was destroyed and the batteries inside were no longer stuck together. It still worked. However, the packaging APC used to ship this out was not appropriate for the weight of the item. I would have returned it, but I don't want another battery going into a landfill.

APCRBC109 replacement Battery went into a discontinued APC Back-UPS Pro unit. Soon after, the battery and the unit stopped working altogether. Then, I bought a new unit [APC Back-UPS Pro BR1500MS2] that came with a new battery and have no problem now. The replacement battery and the discontinued unit it went into were returned today. Hopefully, I'll get a discount retroactively even though I already paid full-price for the newer APC Back-UPS Pro. This company has been very helpful over the phone, so I'm sure they'll be fair about my discounting me for returning the old unit and the replacement battery I'd recently purchased for it.

Overall satisfied with the replacement battery, time will tell if it performs to expectation. I was however, disappointed in the packaging of the battery, which was faling apart when it arrived, resulting in a minor deformation of one of the corners of the battery. The batteries would covered in thick dust, and the adhesive between the two batteries had already separated.

The battery arrived in a damaged box and the pair was split apart from each other. I wrote to APC on the day I received the pair about it and voiced my concern that one or both of the pair may be internally damaged, and may damage the UPS if they are installed. It is now a week later and all that I have received from APC is this rating request.

I ordered two #109 units. Only 1 unit arrived. I called support several times and was put on long (~20 minute ) hold that never cam back at least twice. Then a real person assured me they would get back to me by email. That never happened. Hence I am still without my order.

No problems with APC batteries, ever. They fit well, have all the cables, and do not boil over like the cheap replacements always do. Install it & forget it. Better things to worry about, knowing your data and workflow are protected.

Worst arrival ever! Box arrived was nearly disintegrated, battery had the UPS truck dirt all over it but did not appear to be damaged.

The battery didn't really seem to last anywhere near as long as it should have, I think the self test showed it could run about 10 mins right after I replaced it, but it rapidly dropped down to 5 mins after half a year and the self test started warning I should replace the battery again. I've gotten new batteries several times and the quality has become worse with every replacement since the original one that came with the UPS gave 25 min runtime originally. Ultimately the battery is for a UPS model that's no longer supported, but it's kind of crappy a brand new replacement seems to have run down so quickly.

Wiring a little sketchy. Had to make repairs to new product to keep it charging to max so I could start to rely on it. At first before I found the problem, the unit was sending signals warning that the battery was not charging.

The battery arrived faster than I expected. It was the exact duplicate of my dead battery and was easy to connect the cables and re-install it back into place into my unit. The lights and display came right back on and so far it is doing the job just fine. There were easy instructions included for installation and recycling the old battery for disposal. Our local dump has battery recycling, too, so I took my old one there for recycling rather than mailing it back in the box as the instructions said I could do. A very easy company to deal with. I'll know where to buy my next one after this one dies. I was glad that it was not some off-brand or generic battery when it arrived. I would recommend this product to anyone with a dead battery.

As of right now the replacement battery seems to be working fine. only gave it 3 stars because of the really bad packaging job.. When it shows up dented and looks like someone dumped sawdust all over it.. i tend to think twice about it.. No cracks on the battery that's a plus and the paperwork on the battery itself showed good data so lets give it an try..

I have many UPS's around my house so often buy replacement batteries. In my experience APC brand batteries always outlast and are more reliable than cheaper competitor's batteries. I've learned that paying a little more for real APC brand pays off in the long run for me.

I bought this as a replacement battery for my APC Back-ups RS. I only gave 4 stars because there are 2 batteries and they should come shipped as one(2-sided adhesive in between them), but the packaging wasn't strong enough for them and they came 'loose'. But no damage to the batteries and they are working great.

Quick and simple swap out. I shut down my equipment beforehand to be sure it wouldn't shut down during battery replacement since equipment is values at $500k.

this was a replacement for one that had died. It is a great replacement to keep an older UPS going. They allow us to recycle the lead acid battery at no cost, too!

I have 2 units that use this replacement battery. I replaced one battery 8/16, another battery 10/16, another battery 10/17 and now another 9/18. I don't know which units were bad, but obviously the batteries are failing quickly.

Although the expected life of this battery is 3-5 years, it’s only warranted for ONE year. As a result, it looks like I’ll be stuck for another. Compared to the original battery and the previous replacement, this one was a major disappointment.
