Not too gigantic!

The perfect sized backpack for me. Fits my netbook, my new T2i, two lenses and flash with room to spare.

Most Liked Negative Review

It's nice and compact, my camera and most of my accessories fit easily. The problem being is that it does NOT hold a 14" inch laptop, in fact it doesn't even hold my 13" laptop. BOO Ape Case... BOO.

Great Bag!

from Champaign, IL  -  Tech Savvy

This is a very sturdy and handy backpack and wears comfortably. I was looking for a smaller backpack for storing and transporting my gear and this does the trick. It might be a little smaller than I expected for my D800, 28-300mm, 50mm, and SB-700 but there is still room for another couple lenses. The medium size bag may in the end be a better choice but for now this seems perfect. I also can carry my iPad and Bluetooth Mac Keyboard as well as filters, cleaning products, batteries, and media.

A Tab Bit Small

from Westchester,NY  -  Semi Pro Photographer

It protected everything well but was really small and didnt have enough compartments

Space for laptop

from berkshires, MA  -  Parent

Case is solidly built much sturdier than any mall store level products I shopped prior to my purchase. holds a big dslr and several lenses chargers and cables/flash. Worth the money My 14" hp didnt fit came REAL close so your 13" mac should slide right in. I am very particular about packs as I am army retired army. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Awesome Ape Case

from Newberg, OR  -  Tech Savvy

I love this product. I use it to transport my equipment, and to store it as well. I love it so much. It has very easily adjustable compartments. It is well padded for protection, and it is also well sealed. It will keep all your equipment dry, safe and clean. The only issues are it takes a small laptop to fit, and it is a little hard to open.

Awesome case!

from Minneapolis, MN  -  Photography student

Perfect for small camera bodies, a few lenses, and other small pieces of equipment such as filters, cords, point-and-shoot cameras, iPod, etc. Works great for me, I'm a student with limited equipment. Really durable and comfortable to have on. Unfortunately a 14" laptop doesn't fit. However, I still completely love this case. There are a lot of handy little compartments. If you don't have a lot equipment, this case is great, but if you have quite a bit, I would definitely recommend a larger one. In my opinion, Ape Case is the best brand I've found for camera cases. Love it!

from Henniker N.H.  -  Tech Savvy

The bag is a nice bag, and well made. However the bag does not fit a laptop....it fits a IPAD or that size electronic. I decided to get the next size up.

Great Photo Backpack

from Fond du Lac, Wi

I was looking for a smaller backpack to handle my netbook, headphones and kindle as well as a single DSLR and minimal accessories. That way I can travel for work and have a good camera at the ready. This Ape Case is the perfect size for the overhead in regional jets with lots of room and camera protection.

Very well made back pack

from New York  -  Casual User

Nice bag if you have a bunch to carry around with you. This is my carry almost everything bag. I use a smaller bag when carrying less gear for a short run.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Will a 13" Macbook Pro fit in this bag? I have read reviews that say "no" yet the specs say it will fit up to 14"?
NICHOLAS B  The short answer: No. I bought the Ape Case to take to Slovakia last year and the specs said it would fit a 14" laptop, but my 13.6" laptop would not fit in it. I suspect that the 14" they are refering to is the outer measurement of the computer, not the screen size, and even that would be a pretty tight fit. I had to return it and I bought a LowPro which has worked very well for me. It fit two Canon bodies, 3 lenses, flash, several accessories plus the computer/charger/mouse/etc...
