Suprisingly nice gloves for photography

I bought these gloves because I was not satisfied with the lack of warmth provided by the hunter's shooting gloves I had purchase based on suggestions at various photography forums. I bought these gloves because I was not satisfied with the lack of warmth provided by the hunter's shooting gloves I had purchase based on suggestions at various photography forums. These are very nice. Not at all bulky and, with the neoprene they are surprisingly warm. The holes in the thumb and index finger pads are a little tight feeling on my fingers (not uncomfortably so) but I suppose, if they were looser, they would allow too much air to reach my fingers when they were retracted and my finger tips would be uncomfortably cold. There's very little I don't like about these gloves. The velcro on the wrist bands could be a bit more generous. As it is, there's barely enough flap for enough overlap of velcro to make a secure fit. Also, the bungee cords at the wrist are a bit confusing (I still don't know exactly what to make of them) and they, as such, they are extremely long - I could see getting accidentally snagged by something - and that has the potential of undesirable, even dangerous, outcome. All thinks considered, these have been a worthwhile purchase for me. I find that I wear them as my primary gloves for practically everything but shoveling snow on cold winter days.

AquaTech gloves

I have been using these gloves all winter and they work well. The only problem I had was when the temps dropped to below zero, they didn't keep my fingers toasty. I solved this problem with an inexpensive glove liner and cut out the tips of the index finger and thumb.

Perfect for Photography

This gloves are perfect for photography, you can take out two fingers while keeping the rest of the hand warm. I only hope that the weather in Yelowstone in winter will not be too much cold, for this gloves.

Nice style and dexterity

Warm around 25F. Nice style. Clever design. Can't really wear a glove liner and be able to work finger or thumb through the holes. Without liner works like a charm.

Perfect for cold weather photography

I am looking forward to putting these gloves to use in February as we head out for a four day winter photography trip. I found the size description misleading and had to return the first pair because I ordered the wrong size. The fit is perfect, lightweight and not bulky. I am impressed with the smooth and efficient return process.

Decent gloves for their purpose

By

I frequently photograph sporting events such as soccer and football outdoors during cold weather. I need a good pair of gloves that allow me to have access to my forefinger and thumb to operate my camera. These gloves do exactly that, however I was disappointed by the grip as it is not as good as I'd hoped. In addition, these gloves are warm, but not designed for extreme cold. But the main issue I have is that the holes that allow my forefinger and thumb to come through are so small. The gloves fit just right (I measured my hand before ordering), but the hole is so small that the circulation to my fingertips is somewhat restricted. This means that I can only have my fingers through the holes for limited amounts of time. To be fair, maybe I'm not positioning my fingers right in the holes. I'm not giving up on the gloves, rather I'll be trying different options to make them work since I like them overall. I have even considered cutting the hole to make it larger, but would only do so as a last resort. I also have to accept that maybe my fingers are a little chubbier than normal :). In general, I would recommend these gloves to photographers or others who need fingertip control while outside during cold weather.

Nice quality glove

These gloves are fantastic! Nicely grip the camera. Easy to use finger holes to manipulate camera. Elastic wrist strap is adjustable to fit wrist. Very warm. Works well in Ohio's winter climate.

size before you buy

I ordered XL and now think XXL would be a better fit, the gloves are better than using nothing - pricey.

Works great, but could be a bit better.

Works great to allow use through tips and does keep hands warmer than they would be bare. Was hoping they'd keep hands warmer than they do though.
