Don't buy one of these with a 32GB solid state drive. 32GB is not enough to handle updates to Windows 10. I bought one, and its performance was terrible. It turned out it was wasting CPU time trying and failing to install a large update. I had to reset Windows to make it stop. I expect I'll have to do it again every time there's a large update.

I bought this laptop on sale for $. It has a backlit keyboard and an SSD which were my main requirements in a laptop. It was the only laptop in it's price range that satisfied these requirements. I bought it to replace my old Asus K52 I've had for 6ish years (still works so I like Asus). I haven't put graphics or cpu to the test. I think you can upgrade RAM but I haven't taken the screws out on the bottom to check. So I'm not sure what side of the mobo the RAM slots are on. battery lasts quite long on a charge (6hrs or so depending on use) and it's quite light. The touch screen is nice and I surprisingly probably use it more in tablet mode than normal, I don't like the simplification of the UI tablet mode carries but you can opt not to use tablet friendly mode while in tablet mode which keeps your UI unaltered. The good: - Tablet mode is a plus - Backlit keyboard - small size - long battery life - lightning boot times - price The bad: I've only had a few problems where it's gets a bit wonky switching into and out of tablet mode or booting after being in or physically in tablet mode. This has caused the laptop to freeze once requiring a restart in the month so far that I've owned it. Honestly this is an excellent laptop for the price. I would recommend it.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter's college/teaching graduation present. She's very satisfied with it. It's fast, screen is easy to see, A nice size. She likes the touch screen a lot. I recently purchased a different laptop for myself with SSD too, and we both love having the speed of the SSD.

Just can't beat the price for what you get. While I'd prefer to have a fingerprint reader, stylus, and maybe just a tiny bit smaller and lighter, it's just not worth twice the price to get any ONE of those things. Fast, looks great, very sturdy, love backlit keyboard, battery life is EXCELLENT (routinely see 10 hours remaining with light use, half of that with heavy use). Normally used with 2nd monitor attached, sometimes large XL spreadsheets and Access databases, with zero issues or slowdown. Battery also may just be user replaceable according to a YouTube video, which will be a HUGE advantage in another 2 years. If I can't replace the battery, again, it was only ($), not ($), so it only has to last half as long. Would be nice if the edge I rest my palms on were a bit rounded, but this thing is THIN.

I bought this for my College student and it is very versatile and fits all of the criteria it was needed for! Not to mention. The customer service when it arrived and did not work! How quickly they assisted me to ship back and have replaced for a working one!

I have only had this computer for 1 week, but I already love it. It is small/compact, but not too small. The keys feel comfortable to type on with my hands. The setup of the computer is pretty easy to follow. Asus has a special app program called ASUS Giftbox. I would suggest not installing any of these apps unless you want to purchase them. They are free to download, but when you open the app, they tell you that you have a 30 day free trial. I ended up uninstalling them because I really do not need them. The touchscreen is pretty sensitive, but I am sure you can change that if you do not like it. I am pretty sure this has a SSD, but I did not know it was fanless, or to put it simply the machine is completely quiet, no whirring sound. Also, the computer does not get hot at all! The battery seems to last a long time, although I have not left it in battery mode for 8 hours yet. I was originally waiting for the Asus Zenbook UX303UA, but the price would not go below ($) This computer starts at ($) and I somehow ended up getting it for ($) I think it is very comparable to the Zenbook I wanted if not better as the screen is able to fold 180 degrees into a tablet. I am not into gaming very much, so I do not know how to rate the video care or sound cards function, but for what I need it for (school, photos, and genealogy) it works fine. Overall, I think for the price and the fact that you get such a quiet machine with the added perks of backlit keys and touchscreen as well as not overheating, it is a fantastic machine! I would definitely recommend it!
