This mic is amazing and does wonders on my low/mid male hip-hop vocals! I apply little or no EQ to have my vocals sit comfortably in the mix with ease (if proper mic techniques are applied upon recording and centered around the artist) . IF I WERE TO CHOOSE JUST 1 MIC UNDER $1K IT BE THE AT4047SV! OUTSTANDING JOB AUDIO TECHNICIA. I'll hopefully own another someday soon... during covid I had to sale it to pay bills :( Now I rely on the at4040 its nice but OHHH HOW I MISS MY AT4047SV!!!
The Audio Technical AT 4047SV is a large diaphragm condenser microphone intended for studio recording of vocals and instruments such as piano, stringed instruments, percussion, guitar and more. The AT 4047SV features a dual diaphragm capsule design maintaining precise cardioid polar pattern pick up and high-quality audio fidelity with low noise floor. Exceptionally low self-noise, wide dynamic range and high SPL capability attribute to the microphones sonic quality and versatility. The high SPL rating allows the microphone to be used with audio sources high in transient response, otherwise overloading the circuit. The 4047SV boasts a frequency response of 20Hz to 18kHz, capturing low-end frequencies in great detail while maintaining the sonic presence of the mid- and high-frequency spectrum.
