I have several red dot finders of various brands on my telescopes and the ones with a pulsing feature are far easier to aim, particularly at dimmer stars. I decided to install this unit on one of my Telrads to see if it improved its functionality. It did and made that finder my favorite. The installation was, by and large, straightforward but, as another reviewer notes, it is a tight fit. I found by easing the control knob into the hole drilled for it as I pushed the pulsing unit into the Telrad, it would slide into place. It took a couple of tries but once it fit everything slid into place. The template for positioning the 2 holes that need to be drilled into the side of the finder was a little off and the smaller hole had to be enlarged slightly for the pulsing control to fully seat against the side of the Telrad. This exposes enough of the knob housing's thread for the mounting nut to screw onto it and secure the pulsing control to the finder. The wiring was simple and the control knob looks as if it was part of the original finder. It works well and allows me to use brighter settings but still align on dimmer stars. Definitely a worthwhile addition and I recommend it to anyone with a Telrad.

Try as I might, I could not get this unit to fit inside the body of my Telrad. In the end, I had to use black tape to secure the top cover on my Telrad once this unit was installed. Not ideal. That said, the unit works very well for controlling the pulse effect.
