If I could do it again I would look for a better fit!

I use these in an office with a lot of background noises, a real loud talker coworker, and a mumbler that whispers to himself all day long. It cuts down the sounds a lot but not gone. Drowns noises better if I play tunes over them. Tunes are hard on my concentration but preferred to the noise. My main issue is the head strap is too short to reach my ears so they don't fit well. I pull it down as far as I can and muffs do not cover ear bottoms. The tight fit messes up my hairdo. My head is a bit large but normal. I have nothing to compare these with but, overall I say they are a decent bang for the buck and music sounds good to me.

Ok sound, poor quality

Bought these a few years ago for myself. The sound was decent, not bad but nothing special. Within a few months, the ear cups essentially exploded, and they aren't replaceable - you need to send in the headphones to AT for a hefty fee to get them repaired. At that point, I started looking at alternate headphones entirely as a replacement. After a few more months, the connection between the headphones and the cord started having issues, and sound would only come out of one ear. I no longer use them, about a year later. If you need headphones for a month or two, these may suffice. But the build quality is so poor and repair so difficult that is probably not a good purchase for everyday use.

Good sound, good performance, VERY poor quality ear pads

I have two of these. One set is at my office for when I want to listen privately or not be disturbed by ambient noise. The ear pads tore within just a few months, have been torn for a few more months, with no help from the company, and are now unusable (pictured). This is one of two sets I have which have done this same thing. The set I use at home has recently started to show the same tearing despite being used far less. Both sets were purchased around a year ago. I want this fixed or at least to be given a way to purchase a replacement set of ear pads. There are aftermarket options, but based on reviews, they do not appear to be worth ordering.

Breaks after short time and good care

Used the headphones for about 6 months until they broke. The right side has no sound and left side cuts in and out so they are completely useless. I only used these while working on my computer and kept them in good shape in their case.

Sound quality is very good.

Sound quality and noise cancellation is very good. Battery life has also been very good. This is my third pair of noise cancellation headphones in 4 years and they have been very durable. Comfort is an issue for me when using them on flights that last 3-4 hours. The QC15 comfort is much better but you pay significantly more for them.

the sound of silence

OMG how did i ever travel without noise cancelling headphones! a word of warning, be careful when plugged into the airplane's entertainment system, when the crew make announcements it's incredibly loud to get over the engine noise and therefore deafening thru these headphones.

Impressive

Sound quality with noise cancelling on is on-par with what you would expect of a nice set of studio headphones... don't expect it to be that good with it off. Alkaline battery lasts for about 48 hours of continuous use. Noise cancelling targets the prime frequency range you would want... but it lets voices through ok. Don't turn it up too loud as others around you can hear what you are listening to fairly well. Highly recommended.
