Tascam SS-CDR1 Single-Rackspace Compact Flash/CD Recorder, Balanced and Unbalanced Audio I/O, RS-232 and Parallel Control

The SS-CDR1 from Tascam is a professional-quality 1RU Compact Flash and CD recorder. Designed to be used in applications that previously used cassette or MiniDisc recorders, the SS-CDR1 records high-quality WAVE or MP3 files to widely-available Compact Flash media. The CD drive can be used to burn audio files, transfer audio to CF cards, or perform MP3 conversion.

The SS-CDR1 offers terrific connectivity options, with XLR and RCA line-level inputs and outputs and S/PDIF digital coaxial inputs and outputs. Multiple control options are available, with a wired remote and RS-232 and parallel ports for remote control. A PS/2 keyboard connector lets you easily name files and folders and control the unit.
